Vermiculture

Vermicompost (biohumus )

Vermicompost is an excellent soil additive made up of digested and undigested compost. The digested part is known as worm castings. Worm castings are much higher in nutrients and microbial life and are a higher value product. Worm castings contain up to 5 times the plant available nutrients found in average potting soil mixes. The nutrients are readily available to your plant, with the added benefit of microbial organisms that are essential for plant growth. The average potting soil mixes that you buy in the store are usually sterile and don't have a microbial population. Just as your plants need to be fed nutrients, your soil (which has living organisms in it) needs to be fed also. The combination of nutrients and microbial organisms are essential for happy, healthy, productive plants. Vermicompost not only adds microbial organism and nutrients that have long lasting residual effects, it also adds structure to your soil, helps retain water and helps the plant to fight soil - borne plant diseases like root rot.

Remember...

Vermicompost is 100% organic, safe, non-toxic, and odor-free.
Vermicompost will not burn even the most delicate plants.
Vermicompost helps plants grow faster and stronger. It increases the size of the fruit or flower.

Added to potting mix or soil, Vermicompost will out last and out perform any commercial fertilizer.

The interest to vermiculture grows rapidly In Russia, especially for the last 2 years. The reason for such interest are some factors, the basic from them being as follows: Beginning from the year 2006 ecological penalties for non-recycling waste products have increased 5-15 times.

This has made vermiculture even more economically attractive then ever before;
Vermicompost (biohumus of earthworms) is an extremely effective natural organic fertilizer;
Worms are an excellent bait for fishing and a forage for fish and birds;

Growing understanding of the role of microorganisms: the alive world has originated from microorganisms, these processes go on even today and make the base of biosphere.

It is considered, that: one third of microorganisms is pathogenic bacterium; one third - is useful (are frequently called effective bacterium); one third - adaptable: it is pathogenic if pathogenic bacterium in the environment are in majority, or is useful, if useful bacterium are in majority.

Quality of the microbic world varies in steps due to adapting to a strong area.
One step in the opposite direction already demands from a lost third of increase in the force, twice as much and a little bit more. These steps occur locally, the local phenomenon becomes fast global one because the ecology has no borders. So was with AIDS, the same occurs with the bird's flu now.

Obviously, others, even more terrible pathogenic bacterium will appear. Why pathogenic bacterium? Its very simple - today they are stronger. On the Earth millions of facilities and farms are busy with manufacture of a nutrient medium for them.

For example, liquid manure, not utilized at all, being accumulated for many years in huge quantities in the open land, in the rivers, lakes and other reservoirs, and even the seas - the ideal environment for pathogenic bacterium. In the water duration of their life increases in 10 and more times. They became a constant source of known infections, and a place of origin for the new ones, capable to bring to people and animals incalculable troubles. Traditional measures of protection (antibiotics, bactericides, chemical weed-killers and/or pest-killers etc.) demand huge expenses which will continuously grow and become very heavy. How to help useful microorganisms to win domination? The answer to this question is only one - to develop vermiculture. Long time ago, C.Darvin called earthworms living creatures, that are the most useful ones on the Earth, and Aristotel called them bowels of the Earth.

Earth worms and microorganisms is an ideal symbiosis. The worm uses results of the live activity of microorganisms, therefore creates all necessary conditions for development of useful and destructions of pathogenic microorganisms inside itself and in the environment of his dwelling. It is obvious, that for the solution of the above-stated problems in the shortest terms it is necessary to universally introduce vermiculture in economic circulation. A problem of new kinds of infections is a serious threat, but not the most dangerous one. The biosphere faces a threat of utter annihilation because of action of the decreasing fertility law which too can be solved by vermiculture (alongside with other methods).

According to the last researches, demand for organic production in the world continues to grow in rather fast rates, has informed « The Project of Agrarian Marketing ». In last research of a network of organic supermarkets “The Whole Foods Market” is stated, that demand for organic products in the world has increased by 17 %. for the last year.

It is interesting to note, that a primary factor which forces people to buy organic fruit-and-vegetable products is their cleanliness and safety for health, and also that they are fresher and has natural and pleasant taste. The main factor, why people do not buy more organic vegetables and fruit, is their too high price.

Introduction of vermiproduction technology, i.e. - technology of processing, with the help of worms, of any organic waste products including liquid ones (93 % of humidity):
  • mucks of all kinds - after hydro washing;
  • chicken droplets, including liquid one;
  • food waste products;
  • the vegetative rests (a tops of vegetable, branches, fallen foliage);
  • sawdust;
  • waste products of pulp-and-paper factories, newspapers, any kind of paper, cardboard;
  • oiled sand, rags;
  • sapropel; mud;
  • waste products of starch-and-molasses factories, meat and milk factories, etc.
Using vermiculture (red Californian worms), it is possible to process all-the-year-round organic waste products into the end-product – vermicompost (biohumus) thus increasing a livestock of worms.

The technology is offered in the form of the industrial module with a package of documents necessary for organization of production facility.
